Curiousity in seams and stitches*

Curiousity in seams and stitches*

A Poem by Starrbitt

Teddy bear awakened
from his nightly rest
his glassy eyes widened
amazed with the sight
glowing stars and night lights
the world looked innocent
flashing yellow dots gleamed
outside the window

he moved his worn out legs
stitched to his body
cotton tumbling out
as he moved slowly
his seamed up smile has
grew wider and finer
peacefully the child
dreamed sweet in his bed

running around , he jumped
trying to reach for
the white crescent flying
it was impossible
like cupping the sun
that kissed each cloud gently

he gave up and chased flies
buzzing up and down
climbing into a sock
and hopping away
he said hi to spike
and ran in his wheel
the hamster nibbled quietly
chewing on a string

next the teddy bear went
under the childs bed
and spoke to the doll
forgotten in place
she said you should go the
sun will be up soon
with cotton filled head down
he walks back in place

slowly he freezes in
place untill the child
begins to play with him
later he will speak of
the night he roamed free
a night he wont forget
