Angelface

Angelface

A Poem by angelface79

Angelface

Staring across the court room

Waiting for my sentence

I was hooked

Now I’m giving my repentance

Judgement day is upon me

7, 7, and 7 consecutive

Ripped away from my family

21 years I have to give

My life is over.

Looking for my saving grace

What was left to live for?

But there she was, my Angelface.

I got 7, 7, and 7

But with her by side

And the good lord in heaven

I can do this time

Drowning in my own sorrow

God gave me her,

My reason for tomorrow

And now I won’t deter.

She makes me a better man

She takes away all of my pain

She holds my heart in her hand

My life will never be the same.

Well written. It is a daunting task to take on a poem from someone else's point of view. You did so with grace. Great job.

Thank you. I try to always put myself in others shoes, so I can better understand their feelings.

Thank you very much! I tried to write from his perspective. I wasn't sure if it was any good.
