12.16.17 Old highschool friend reached out to me to confess his depression at the time. This was the last thing I wanted for him, the last thing in the world, and it occupied my brain for a long time.

A Cry For Help

 

Drowning could be nice.

Sure, it'd be scary,

but it's quick...painless...

 

Imagine if you weren't drowning,

just trapped

deep within the water,

and you cry for help rises in a bubble to the surface

 

only to fall on deaf ears

because no one knows where it's coming from.

 

I think that would be worse.
