A Poem by Angel Shores

Your face holds a somber song
with eyes rewinding a time-spent movie reel
keeping memories framed and frozen in time

Your heart falls like the setting sun
warmth fading in the dying light
passion set on a back burner to cool

You brain is lost in its own riddle
but listens like an empty canvas
and spews art that was never there before

Back on my bullshit about finding that imperfect person that is perfect for me, this one was meant to emphasize the beauty that can be found in finding a person similarly broken, who has become something beautiful
