--The Dark Continent--

--The Dark Continent--

A Poem by SaRuGi

On that dried-up land,

You can still see soaring light coloured grass.

The mushroom like trees,

Growing each day.

Providing them with meals.

Beyond that,

You can see it's  gold flames,

One star going down when millions come up.

While the tuskers lay down,

Their big muscular grey legs sitting down..

The trunks patting the young,

As if they're telling them everything is ok,

Now the slumber land waits for you.

The cool breeze guides them gently.

The twinkles sing them a lullaby.

While they doze off.
