Destiny

Destiny

A Poem by Pevi Mae

I finally understood what the stars are telling me – the phenomenon that led to our intersection.  Indeed, the stars never failed to fulfill its legacy.

This once in a lifetime chance, unknowingly, this was already arranged before time immemorial.  I must learn to accept this destiny.  Because if ever I lose you, I know this life won’t be the same anymore.  What awaits for both of us, I will never know.  But whatever destiny is slowly illuminating, irrepressible forces will relentlessly be at work and bring us back together once more.  I never believed in serendipity before.  But I have to trust what this heart is trying to divulge – to follow the path fate is leading me.  For sure, it’ll take me to where the answer to my question lies.

I know one day was never enough for us to realize we are meant for each other. But that was already enough for me to believe the overruling power of destiny.
