Don't look

Don't look

A Poem by Mugisha Marie
"

Thoughts on a rainy day, so it's going to be a downer

"
Hide yourself underneath a pile of lies

And this is what you will call paradise

But peel back skin, see your organs running

Look deep inside and you'll find everything

The uncertainty in your every nerve

Insecurity within every curve

Thoughts of them pretending you've disappeared

Out of all things, is that your biggest fear?

Raise your voice to suffocate the silence

Emptiness is consuming-quick, hide it

Keep the worst side in the back of your throat

With a smile, a laugh, just go with the flow

Cause no one is supposed to get too close

Until, and even after you're just bones.

Your word choices are very 'organic' (literally: 'throat', 'nerve' etc.), they leave a very strong impression. I like the piece, keep it up!
