First Love

First Love

A Poem by anna.

You swore you'd never leave again.

So I swore I wouldn't either.

You shook me like an earthquake.

While they said "he's a keeper."

Looking back now, all were so right.

He is indeed a keeper.

The keeper to my heart.

And ever since,

I try to convince

whoever wants to listen

to my hearts death sentence.

It started out so young and beautiful.

Innocence in every right.

But with every twist and every turn,

Began a whole new fight.

Dear, you were my first true love.

And i'll never forget.

The keeper to my heart.

Your eyes still rain down on me,

when I close mine.

Like God's dear gray sky,

They stayed behind.

You watched me leave,

On to a new place.

But I'd come all the way back

Just to kiss your amazing face.
