Stained by You

Stained by You

A Poem by Emmy

I am tainted with your taste
and all the things you like.
So now that you are gone
you will still be in my life.

From the songs I keep humming
the words stuck in my head,
to books I just started
I may never know the end.

The drinks we sipped together,
ones I liked before you,
are bitter since you did
what I begged you not to.

You are worse than the stain on
my favorite sweater.
You are the memories
I don't want to remember.

Memories can be painful. Breakups can hurt like hell. The emotions can suffer and I felt that in this short poem. You conveyed your feelings well
