Thanksgiving Prayer

Thank You Lord

Lord, so often times, as any other day 
when I pray either for asking, thanking or my meal 
I hurry along and make fast the blessing 
Thanks, amen. I know he heard me 
I am a slaves to the duties awaiting 
I always rush my prayer thinking I will be late 
But Lord, today, I'd like to take a few minute more 
To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for 
For my family, my health, and my accomplishments 
My friends, my freedom and the choices I have in life 
I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those 
Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know 
Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure 
Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure 
That You, Lord Jesus for who I am and what you plan for me to be 
And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace 
So please, heavenly Father, bless me and everyone who reads this 
And bless each and every person who has touched my life in their own special way
