infatuation does not equal love.

infatuation does not equal love.

A Poem by aphrodite61
"

not one of my favorites, but figured i'd put it on here anyways.

"

you see, babe, you & me together, it's like alcohol.

when it all starts, it seems like loads of fun.

we're laughing & smiling & everything's great.

then we start to get a little bit drunk.

we can't see what's what anymore, things are changing, they're getting cloudy. now we can't stop, we can't stop drinking. i think this is what they call an addiction.

now it's stopped being fun, it's no longer a game.

our lives are getting so fuzzy, the alcohol's all we can think about... then it all ends, it all goes black.

i don't know about you but i woke up with the mother of all hangovers. it didn't take me hours to recover.

it took me months.

and now the only thing i know is this:

i never wanna drink again.

amber, i love how you used alcohol to describe the feeling. it really shows how love can be like an addiction, but one that you don't want. and the last line, i never wanna drink again, shows that you've been hurt and you don't want to feel love again.
i love it, 100/100

This is good stuff. I had to laugh.. seriously.. Its full of candor but its so blatant in its intention and ironic in its basic sense that it seems jovial.
