Let's Do It

Let's Do It

A Poem by robin6
"

Just a poem about the life of a young person.

"

Ignite the light of the dead

Set the fire of a bonfire

Give hope another chance to actually make it

Let's dance till our feet fall off

Till we can't breathe anymore from exhaustion and laughter

Till our cheeks hurt so much from smiling

Till we just give up

This is it

This is the lives we've chosen

Living is no longer alone

Life has more value than just sins

There's more than hair, clothes, body

There's freedom, air, pure happiness

Grab hold to something

Hold onto it tightly

This will not be easy

Birth and death

Two of the most simple things

We experience them but we never do anything but let it happen

The bliss of an innocence in a child

Something so bittersweet

I don't know about everybody's minds but it truly is worth crying over

Near or far

We know where to find our happiness

No one can tell us where

As foolish as we may seem

because of what or how we do things

We still won't care

So if that means spending thousands of dollars on something stupid

Let's do it

Running barefoot through the streets

Go ahead

We are young and ready

So let's dance till our feet fall off

Till we can't breathe anymore from exhaustion and laughter

Till our cheeks hurt so much from smiling

Till we just finally give up.

I enjoyed this one. I liked the repetition and how it was almost like a full moon as you brought he beginning back to the end. You had good meaning in this one and sent a nice message. I'm sure many people would agree with you for your thoughts. Keep up the good work, this was a nice write.
