Abused (Stars)

Abused (Stars)

A Poem by Amila Jay
"

for movie stars and artists

"

Yesterday I was new

A fresh piece of cake

And all opportunities

Opened up for me

Today I am old

Tattle tales and who I’ve dated

All goes under your nose

Paparazzi like stray dogs

Now I am a done factor

A written note

Stuck to your brains

Fame’s the fortune

But now I am not

So you will find me

With a drug overdose

lemme know your views, thanks:)
lately i have checked out that most stars in the media; singers, actors, actresses, die of drugs at a very young age while some attempt suicide when they can't take their field anymore, this poem is for them.

Very interesting topic and well-written. I suggest you look up an urban legend called the "27 Club" (or is it Club 27?) Anyway, it gives a long list of musicians who have died at the age of 27, including Kurt Cobain and most recently, Amy Winehouse.
I very much like your poetry. Keep writing please! :-)

Yea, it's sad how hard people try to become famous, when it really never ends right. Great write! :)

A good job of capturing the way ordinary people are thrust into fame at a maturity level that seems shocking to the level-minded. I really like the underlining message in this piece.

As much as I would love all the riches and fame and attention going along with being a celebrity, I actually for sorry for them. I know it can't be an easy lifestyle to followed by cameras and critics constantly trying to bring you down to the point where some of these people just go insane. Marilyn Monroe was a perfect example of the crazy celebrity lifestyle. You portrayed this wonderfully. Nicely done.
