My Very Golden Soul Dog

Archer was a golden retriever who was in my life for almost 9 years. We were a Therapy Dog team, I wrote and illustrated 4 books about him. He died in January 2023 and I miss him everyday.

Dear Friend, 

You are missing in my life,

I feel it day and night.

It may take forever,

Before things might be alright.

Just for now, I don't know how,

My heart will try to mend.

Most say 'he's just a dog',

I am quite lost without my friend.

You brought brightness to my world,

Happiness to my days.

With me through ups and downs,

In your simple loving ways.

My companion for eight years,

Thank you my dear, sweet friend.

My very golden soul dog,

And I will see you again.
