Do You Believe?

Do You Believe?

A Poem by Arthur Rider
"

faithful poem

"

“Do You Believe?” I was asked this question.
What do I believe? What is my answer?

I was once an unbeliever. I questioned faith through science.
The facts overwhelmed me, and I was forced to decide my fate.

“Do You Believe?” I was faced with this question.
Old logic had failed me, I had to give an answer.

Science and History, no longer a mystery.
They backed up my now budding faith.

“Do You Believe?” I was given this question.
The facts now gave me my answer.

From an agnostic, a skeptic, a doubter
I came to see, yes I believe!
