Poisonous Lies

Poisonous Lies

A Poem by Martina

It’s all just a lie

Like poison

Confuses the mind

You believe what you are told

Every lie must come unfold

A slow stupor leaks in

Slowing twisting the truth

Warping what you see

What you smell, hear and touch

Every kiss and every word

Steals your breath away

Love like poison

Poison like love

Slowly death comes

Steals every memory

Until you believe you are alive

Until you believe you’re the princess

But no prince charming is coming

It’s all just a lie

Like poison

Confuses the mind

You believe what you are told

No lie will unfold

Very cool, the flow was even and easy to read. Your words soft but firm. Your lies were honest and true. Nice write.

I really liked this, I agree lies are like poison they spread and leave a path of destruction.
