Deluge

Deluge

A Poem by Stephen Tysinger

Surface ripples in the lake,
gasping breathes do I intake.
As I struggle to the shore,
over, under it does implore,
That I stay a little longer,
as these waves grow even stronger.
A force of nature now adheres,
yielding bitter, salty tears.

thanks! :)
I like the rhyme scheme and the flow. A very weathered imagery, for a piece so short you packed a lot and delivered a pretty good atmosphere.
