Anxiety

Anxiety

A Poem by Artsy11200

I feel a thousand eyes staring me down,
As I made my biggest mistake.
I see the irritation in their eyes
As my confidence started to break.

I feel a thousand hands pushing me down
And suddenly I cannot breathe.
They all laugh and ignore my pain
I'm hiding the truth that lies beneath.

A salty tear rushes down my cheek
As the fire roars ahead.
They walk over me and my pain
And my stomach fills up with dread.

They walk away and neglect my problems
pretending I don't exist.
I know I want to leave this school
Knowing I won't be missed.

Hi everyone! Just to let you know, this poem doesn't mean that I am dealing with these problems. I just wrote this to show what people feel when anxiety takes over them. I'm fine guys! -Niah
