Of...

Of...

A Poem by Aruna Iyer

Of heat that melts gold in the noon
And rain that moves the
Earth below at night

Of a rainy sunshine when the
Crows and mynas
Lose their mind in sacred matrimony

Of the power within unformed words
A closed fist, an open smile
And a shuttered heart

Of love for what is not yours
Hate gifted in return for another’s love
Life lived like the plaintive song

Of solitary reapers, mending walls
And a giant albatross killed
In anticipation of a final thirst…

This flows very well and the first three stanzas are written very well, but you kinda lost me in the last two, sorry. Interesting write though, nevertheless.

The first two verses were great. I kinda got lost in the last three.
