Cavernous DarknessA Poem by Adelia AlighieriWritten about two years ago, this poem does refer to the Israeli attack at Gaza. May God bless us all.Feel that your heart still has hope, And prayers and millions of dreams; About people singing and cheering together, And no more the screeching screams.
O people! Come back from the field of hell, Where there is sorrow and destruction; Where people play with dangerous toys, Giving rise to the devil's resurrection.
May there be peace, Among all that dwells on earth; Let their be joy and harmony, And happiness and eternal mirth.
There are people; our brothers, our sisters, And they're being brutally killed; Instead of in love and friendship, In war, some of us are skilled.
Join together, to wish, That from today, let their be no tears; just peace; And this savage fight, Would someday, somehow cease.
