Friends no longer

What a lost

You struck first

And I struck last

Why did our friendship come to pass?

This has been something that has been playing on my mind lately.
The loss of a friend -- of someone whom I thought I'd be friends with forever.

The lines:
You struck first
And I struck last
Why did our friendship come to pass?

Perhaps we grow out of each other?
