Amnesia

Amnesia

A Poem by Ashleigh
"

Not too long ago, I had a friend that fell and got amnesia...which really seems like a movie plot, but I promise it isn't. I had to write a sonnet for my final exam in literature and this was it.

"

I remember that day like yesterday

But you do not remember it at all

And it breaks my heart that you feel this way

Just as soon as I was about to fall

I have tried to make sense of this huge mess

And I’m still here one week later trying

Is this supposed to be some kind of test?

Am I supposed to feel like I’m dying?

I’d do anything to go back again

Back to when things were going pretty well

I don’t know how things are going to end

But I know to be happy I can’t dwell

I hope you’ll be okay my dear, I do

Because I just cannot live without you

Long or short, this is good. I see what you want me to, and that's what matters.

GOOD PIECE OF POETRY. IF IT WILL HAVE BEEN STRETCHED LITTLE MORE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE BETTER.
