A Waiting Thought.A Story by vshlThoughts inside a woman waiting on her husband.Dinner was on the table and he still hadn’t come home. It
was about eleven at night he got off work at 6. No phone call, no text,
nothing. I wasn’t worried. I was mad, furious even, but I couldn’t lose it over
him. I knew what I was getting into when I married him. He wasn’t a good guy
last year, I thought I could change his straying ways by getting pregnant but
the baby kept him even more distant. I never thought I would be single mother.
Maybe it was destined that way, they say I’m just like my mother anyway. She
was a bad mom. Did her best, but a bad mom. No wonder I ended up the way I did.
Married to a player, with a child I don’t want, in a house I don’t like, In a
town I’ve never heard of. It’s time for me to go. I’ll pack my bags and go. He
wont be home tonight anyway. *hears keys in the door* “hi honey, I missed you today.” © 2016 vshlAuthor's Note
