Nostalgia.

Nostalgia.

A Poem by Ashley Simonne

I miss the way you could never sit still,
And how you stole kisses on my cheeks.
I even miss your stupid rap songs,
How you’d tease me over everything.
I miss the way you would look at me,
Like I was a normal, healthy girl.
You made the sickness disappear,
When you held me in your arms.
My depression practically vanished,
You were so perfect to me.
I loved you like you created the skies,
But you walked away.
You left just like everyone else,
Like I was nothing.
You’re not here as I get stronger,
I guess I didn’t need you after all.
And yet I still miss you baby,
Cause I never needed you,

I simply loved you.
