Beauty

Beauty

A Poem by Ashutosh Verma

As a beauty i am not a star,
there are many others who are handsome by far.
Some say look at your face but i don't mind it,
because i know i am far behind it,
for the beauty there are wars,
as a beauty i am not a star.
Gilded in gold,
ready to be sold,
silver in hand,
died leaving it on land,
Got mixed into sand,
& you say beauty never ends,
& also the gems,
people set as their aims
they want them at any cost,
but only their beauty get lost
They keep intrinsic beauty at a side,
because they are blind what's inside,
Thank God!
from all these things i remained far,
As a beauty i am not a star,
there are others who are handsome by far.

Haye! your poem.

Right!! physical beauty is transitory not only with time but also long association with it makes it lose its property.

Very nicely written. I liked it very much.
