A dream of connecting again with the one I love

Imagine

 

You are sound asleep, warm in your solitary bed

In your sleep you inhale a familiar scent

It makes your blood rush, your breathing ragged

You've had this dream before

 

You feel petal soft lips giving you tender kisses

and you feel the warm breath of a contented sigh on your neck

You hear softly whispered pet names that only I would know

and you gently come awake.

 

You slowly open your eyes and look into mine

What we see brings back memories of hurt, confusion,

years of loneliness, longing and desperate days

But something else lingers beneath, something long withheld

 

As we gaze at each other that hidden power surges outward

Our energies that became fused so many years ago are once again

soaring, spiraling, through the sky, the heavens, and into eternity

The years of yearning and hopelessness fall away

 

You know I am the only human being that can give you this chance

The time is getting short to enjoy these earthbound pleasures.

Our souls wound around each other and will never let go

The promise of fulfillment beckons you on
