You are elusive, evasive, know the lay of the land

You slip to the shadows, when I touch your hand

You are a sweet puppy, playing just out of reach

With a bright ball of love, between your sharp teeth

 

You twirl me around, in a well-practiced dance

Knowing full well, that I’ll take the chance

I’m up to the challenge, I’m up for the game

And if I can catch you, life won’t be the same
