Me To You

Me To You

A Poem by Alexandra

I will walk you through the grove
Hand in hand
Take strands from your face
So you can see the world in all it’s purity

Bring you home
Tell you about the women
That have sacrificed their careers
To expose the misogyny in their time

Show you love
As I describe all the beauty in the world
And the people you’ll meet in this life
And I’ll be the one
The only one
Here

I’ll take you to the museum
Plant kisses on your head as you guess the artist
Or fall on the slippery marble floor of the MET

I’ll let you be whomever you want to be
Small bare feet
You will be the most loved
Most admirable, intellectual woman
On this planet
