The Medic

The Medic

A Poem by Alexandra

I want to wake up with you
Make love under our recently clean sheets
While the birds sit on our window and sing
Be held in your arms while you tell me the rest of the day’s itinerary

Remind me of how it used to be
On Sunday mornings
Running in the park
Diluting theories of he said/she said
Joking amongst each other
Pulling clothes off again
To fall into our king size bed

I wanted to be in love
I wanted a future
Taste you and ruminate in it’s ambers
Basking in it’s ethereal

Yes

I want to live in faith
That one day
I’ll find you in the tiniest ways
Through a crevice
I’ll find my treasure

You.
