Como Va?

Como Va?

A Poem by Alexandra

I don’t make effort to converse
Because we speak in my dreams
I’ll tell you what’s been on my mind
And you’ll react the same way you would in reality

Stoic
Spiteful
Vengeful
Like I did the worst to you
When I could’ve died by your hand

Tell me
Where does your heart lie
When you partake in company that didn’t give a f**k about you a year ago

Tell me
Where does your mind go
When all you do is smoke
To pass the time

Tell me
Where does your body lay
When you enjoy woman
Of all walks of life
That don’t contribute to your success

I’ll grab your hand
You’ll push me away
But I won’t run back like last time
I’ll keep pushing forward
Alone.

A flowing vitriolic piece as the protagonist watches an earstwhile partner/lover take drugs and womanise. You capture the feelings of anger and betrayal and defiance well.
