Plucked Petals

Plucked Petals

A Poem by Alexandra

Found me on the Criterion Channel shelf of your favorite French Films
I dedicated myself to thee
I wasted my nights trying to figure you out
Green Eyed Reptilian
Film classes ended with love making on Union Street
Slithering tongue through my crevices
Choking me right as I tried to escape your grasp

By the end of the year
I was played on the record of someone’s record player
Repeating the same lies
Trying to find an ounce of honesty
With my restrictions
And swollen tongue
Trying to love make
When restrained in one place

I ended up in Bar Louie parking lots at 5 AM
Resurfacing dead end relationships
There was no saving grace for the fallen angel
That went too far too soon

The year ended
And so did that chapter of her life

WOW Sounds like a Unwelcome experience. L
Passion is to Special to be Wasted that way. Should be a Trip of Pleasure. You will be having a lot of Trips of Pleasure as the Future is Bright.

I really love this. And we can always hope, even in our dreams, to one day enter into a non-toxic relationship with a lover of foreign films. Life doesn't have to be Jules And Jim based.
