Where Are You?

Where Are You?

A Poem by Alexandra

Nostalgia does not even cover it

Dads is playing
I see a broken bumper
An inflatable bed
A candle that never dies
And a Bukowski book

If my mind could ever switch to a place of silence
I choose the waters of Cozumel
I choose the bus stops on College Avenue waiting for you to exit Miller
I choose the silence of my attic room looking at photos on the wall

All have been packaged away
On my stairs of my house

And I keep moving on,
but its so nice and quiet to look back again.

That was really nice. I could relate to many of these lines. This brough back memories to me as well from the bus stops to the stairs lined with belongings. Very well written Alexandra.
