Four Years and Counting

Four Years and Counting

A Poem by Alexandra
"

I Miss You

"
Black thin hair
Jet black eyes
What made you want to be with someone so sporadic?
I can see the light within you fade a little more everyday
Is it my fault?

There are days I search for you under sheets
In the dark, I stretch my hands
Waiting for you to hold me
Like you used to
You used to
You used to be my guiding light

“How can I be with someone else when I’m with you right now”
Your mind is not here
Your mind is not here
Where did we go off?

It’s four years and counting…

This has a haunting feel to it
It’s so weird I was just reading a book review about light and people shining light and then read this
And saw your lines re light etc
Sent shivers

I loved your poem beautiful sad
Loved it
