Route 9

Route 9

A Poem by Alexandra

I write this inebriated
These brick walls are crooked
Cigarettes are the same from Cozumel
So I can finally feel something

Palo Alto to lift the mood
Carol believes there is a remedy for everything
But, what if I’m unfixable

There is no one that wants me
Like I want to be wanted

There is no one that sees me
Like I want to be seen

A powerful piece of writing that lays open the heart in revealing its truth. The yearning to be loved the way we want, and for who we are.

it hurts so bad when this is how we see ourselves...as if no one else sees our worth and then we write poems in a state of disbelief, a state of suspended belief, without believe in ourselves.
