Day #3

Day #3

A Poem by Alexandra
"

Rock Bottom is replaying Paramore- All I Wanted

"
Ready to book a flight
Far away
Where no one can find me
And I can start anew
Try to reassemble myself
From everything I did for you

When you think of love, what do you see?
I thought it was flowers
I thought it was never-ending kisses
I thought it was pillow talks and giggles
I thought it had to be fate because it needed to be natural
We check all those boxes, but how can I sleep like this?
Tears well
Empty sheets
A nightstand stowed away
What is a marriage with such an uncomfortable distance

Fulton Street is a place of complacency
Your home
There is no room for the likes of me

Puresome
Wholesomeness
Childless
All those boxes are not checked

Maybe, I'm never destined for love
Rather, to be alone
Where I dream of love
And watch others drift away hand in hand
