A Poem by jaye river

sentimental injury, moon-bather,
eternal laurel leaves atop

my messy hair, crowning me

to kill and to love - two things you can
do with bare hands unconditionally,
like an arrow it struck me

i have so much to tell you
and i don’t know what to say,

so i just write poetry

I relate to that last stanza. The point about killing and loving is so beautiful and sharp. Amazing job :)

Loved your poem as always, I love the dark and the light contrast, to kill and to love. Nice job!

thank you as always for your kind words. happy holidays :)
Belated birthday greetings jaye river and welcome back. Daphne, I thought of Greek mythology. To kill and to love. We have choices. I want my journey to be as peaceful as possible. I abhor violence. I travelled to many places with your three short stanzas. Plenty to ponder on here.
