A Mother's Endless love

A Mother's Endless love

A Poem by Darle'

You came into my life; you stole all of my affection

You became my star up in the sky

You were and still are the twinkle in my eye.

Your smile made my day; your tiny hugs stole my heart.

Your bright eyes made it all better, your big heart made it worthwhile.

You helped make me the mother that I am. Showed me the mother I was to be.

You gave me determination to become a better person.

My life has changed, now I can only love you from a far.

No more kisses to give or warm hugs to make it better.

I can no longer caress you face, or stare endlessly into your eyes.

My love is still as strong as it was the day you came into my life.

So I send this to you, as a constant reminder of the love in my heart.

I promise to love you forever, like I did from the start.

Touching, it makes me think of my own daughter, she is the topic for many of my poems here is one about her
My girl
The snow came down on the day you arrived,
Or so I am told,
I was too busy to realize.
I brought you home, with skies of blue,
To a pink room,
We made for you.
Tiny and frail, you came into this world,
So I filled you up,
You were my girl.
Kissed you and loved you, every day,
Told you how much,
In my own special way.
To the moon and back, when I kissed you goodnight,
Know that I love you,
Till the morning light.
I missed you when you were sleeping, is how met each dawn,
Good morning as I kissed you,
And wrapped you in my arms.
Told you all the stories, of when you were a babe,
Wanted you to know,
What everybody said.
Each year goes by, and you grow,
So tall now,
Still my girl though.
One more way to show you dear,
How much you mean,
So it is clear.
You are the world, my star shining bright,
Still the child,
I kiss goodnight.
