All the yesterdays

I grow older,

The sun grows colder,

Days go by,

Darkening skies,

I grow taller,

Hope seems smaller,

Blow the candles out,

Settling in this shadow of doubt,

Learning new lessons,

Discovering depression,

Meeting new friends,

They leave in the end,

A happy song,

its twisted story,

all the strife,

this time no glory,

kneeling down,

empty prayers,

endless dark,

i grow scared,

innocence slipping,

imagination chipping,

no longer so numb,

I have to wonder,

If I’m the only one,

Shadows used to dance,

On the walls at home,

They spread to create darkness,

I’m left to fight it alone.

great idea, i actually based it off of a few of my favorite songs feild of innocence by evanescence, and paradise by coldplay, tied it in with my own feelings and put it into my own words.
