A Poem by a wildfire

remember when

my hair fell
long as my backbone
thick as that old winter coat
black as night.

I enjoy this for its hushedness...

Vibrant, and aware: that coat you mention brings up an abundance of memories to me for some reason.
Strange how certain objects can do this, I think.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark? Or another one?
That angle brings gothic, sensual associations, yes.

Beautifully penned.
Thank you (for this, and your thoughts on one of mine. cheers).
