COLOURS

COLOURS

A Poem by Ratnadeep Bhattacharya
"

This is about a girl that I'm in love with and the colours that remind me of her and the sweet memories of our very first encounters.

"
I was roaming into an unprecedented pasture of my heart
Life came in with an colossal luminance of orange
That shook its core to the infinite level
As if it would take me in a psychedelic expedition
But with a little bit shot of adrenaline, which it's still onto it.

Wind was blowing through the tunnel of my ears
And whispering the 4 am tearshed and the mindfucks
I coudnot even pretend to it as my eyes were blown
By the very sound of it.

Red is the colour of an era that the summer brought
And the t-shirt that shines like future's calling
It took colour black to put my eyes on the screen, though
The nature had put all her efforts to make me gaze and amazed.
I dipped into those evening phone calls in a hope
That's both dark enough to hide my solitude and bright enough
To make me feel like I'm home , and it's what's meant to be.

I fear the future yet the colour green connects me more with present
I try to relax but maybe it's the blue that never played a role
Yet managed to roam somehow these days.
I look at the bright yellow and try to convince me
Sometimes it works and sometimes it just makes me realise
That nothing's more fundamental than building
What we call trust and rely upon the other colours
That's put our heart infront of a rainbow
And make this whole thing more picturesque .
