Return and Familiar Afternoon Pain

Return and Familiar Afternoon Pain

A Poem by Kitten

hit the wall running
and I’m free – free-falling away
and back again oh-so-fast
bungee-chord emotions and I
have made up my mind this time
waiting for pain and hoping against
it in vain – crying again
like I’ve never ceased to
feel the burning-ice tears
reminding that I’ll never escape-
don’t know if I’m trying
the pain is too familiar and
so I fall again – running

I like this. It's sad, yet with an element of hope. I accept what I cannot change..and change what I cannot accept....
Wel written, constructed and worded. This is amazing.
