Playing Pretend

Playing Pretend

A Poem by Hurricane

You set yourself up,
For corruption.
Like a volcano,
Awaiting eruption.
You blow up at random,
Causing disruption.

At an instant,
You confess.
Talking to you,
Like playing chess.
I try to find logic
In all of this mess.

In go the lies,
You start to blend.
Like lies are a style,
Like lies are a trend.
Like a sick, twisted way,
Of playing pretend.

I thought you were a better friend.

I think this is a really good poem and it flows well, but I do agree with the comment below that "You confess" doesn't fit the poem. A friend that's lying and playing pretend probably wouldn't confess, maybe manipulate.

Nice, but just nice. I'm not a fan of diss tracks may be that's why.
I liked it where you used lies in blending and as a trend. Like they were what the friend felt to be doing. The point where you used 'you confess', that seems against this poem, as confession is a good thing to do.
