Alone I am

Alone I always will be

Alone I am because he left me

Alone I am when he's right next to me

Alone because of my mouth

Alone because I don't know when to be quiet

Alone because I don't know when I should talk

Alone because I was never taught how to act

Alone I feel the pain and the rain

Alone I see him with her

Alone I give up

Hi Elizabeth, My wife and I live in Southern NH. I love this poem. I like the construction, the way it is visually on the page, I like the way the writer recognizes a fault. That gives us (the readers) the hope she will make the changes needed so she doesn't suffer from the effect of these faults in the future (because of making adjustments).
