Day To-day

Day To-day

A Poem by Mia
"

a poem about man and his relation with the world which would lead him to the doom day

"

Day To-day

Amidst the high skies blue,

Many passed with high speed, true

But they have gone leaving nothing behind,

Their footsteps or speed nowhere to find

Suddenly something visible, opposite to where they had gone

Is coming closer and looking like a new born

Efforts to look behind are failing again and again

And it seems like the new born is controlling my brain

Within a blink’s time the scenario changes,

From the salty ocean to the green land it ranges.

A tall man with beard is what the reflection shows,

The whole empty world this old fellow owns.

He cannot read or write; neither does he know how to sing,

The only thing he sees is cherry blossoms in full swing

Without wasting a moment, he quietly sits down

Enjoys the view, picks the flowers, for him he makes a crown.

It would have been just five minutes, exactly from where he started

When he could see only lava around, he from the world, had been parted.

He tried a lot to get out from the hell,

But it wasn’t helping only deeper he fell.

Slowly and slowly under the high skies blue,

He passed away with high speed, true

He passed away with high speed, true.
