We tell others that we hate relationships

To cover up that we can't do it

We don't want to get hurt

So we stop trying

We tell ourselves we hate relationships

To try to keep ourselves safe

We try to lie to ourselves

To hide the fact that we can't just say that

We're waiting for that spark
