Inside (1980)

Inside (1980)

A Poem by PoetryofProvidence

There are things that I hide
deep down inside
it's a place nobody can go

and the things that I treasure
Nobody can measure
by silver or diamonds and gold

But I face them each day
as I walk on my way
and the road before me unfolds

Unseen hidden forces
and the produce of choices
are the things that I value to most

But the things I possess
in this inner recess
Can only the chosen behold

But don't ask a question
about this small reflection
each of you has your own hold

A really great poem… It makes me think that the character here feels like no one understands her/him, and yet, this person is okay. Good job!
