The Kings Court

The Kings Court

A Poem by PoetryofProvidence

Thine halls are paved with justice

whose courts shine forth as fair

thy robes emboidered with trust

an crown of loving kindness upon thy brow

the golden girdle of truth

is the vesture of  your choosing

eyes bright with insight

adorned a ready mind complete

the decress of the tribunal

surely

the smallest shall know

his pleadings have not gone

                unheard

the lowly and humble found favor

in the yoke of your strength

you have commanded justice

thy wax has sealed the judgment

in his behalf

and of those who do run

to treachery

thou hast dispised the takers

         of bribes

and those who conceal

their poison in the land

thou art threaded

like those who are noble true

thine inward parts do glisten

with the instrucion of your God

as those which art precious yet

to you will the nations bow

Glorious as the King

adorned with no inclusion

                                                  of your gems...

in you does the heart of the people

rest their confidence

Apocalypse 11:18
