What if

What if

A Poem by Basya Klein

what if
my happy
is everybody else's
stay home
cry in bed
take a blade to their skin
what if
my sane
is everybody else's
"you should see someone"
and breaking down
without warning
what if
my healthy
is everybody else's
too sick to stand

What an interesting poem. I like the way that the meaning isn't completely evident, but still one is able to figure it out.

Maybe you could break it up into 3 stanzas, so that each 'what if' is the beginning of a new one? That might work - but isn't absolutely necessary.
