Drip drop drip

The raindrops start slow

Day goes by 

Slow

Lingering in my hair

Swallowing words

Building defenses

Swirling spinning crashing

Raindrops come faster

No one noticing

Driving to nowhere really

Just driving to drive

And talking 'bout nothing

Calm words spoken

Then we stop

You turn to me

I turn away

Stare at raindrops

You talk

I listen without showing

Drops

Falling on the windshield

Falling down 

Creating paths

Like a river

That's more alive than anything

I concentrate on these pearls

Of water

And hide

Very nice use of imagery....pearls and raindrops....very visually smooth and strong....
