Twins

I had a beautiful relationship with my twin sister, she was my friend that I always could count on, the one person I could trust without ever having to doubt her.

When I look in the mirror at a reflection of myself,

 I see myself as well as my twin sister,

 We had two bodies, one soul and one set of wings,

our hearts were connected as one,

our heart beat was filled with the love we shared for each other, it was a special love that connected us as one.

Life was not always a delight,

 but as long as we were together we had the greatest treasure on earth,

It's a special bond that only a twin knows.

 

 

 

Author's Note

I had a deep connection to my twin sister, were as close as two people could be, our friendship was made in the womb. until she was murdered we were friends for life, not end death could take away what we shared.

i feel bad about the murder part. ): great poem, simple but expressive. sincere and open yet still i find myself curious as to the feeling of having a twin. thanks for putting this up and inspiring many.
